Fitting OEM e46 HIDs into our cars
Here in NYC. I've seen 'em in Integra's, Civic's, Mustangs, and, Even an Expedition. So, yes they do work. I guess the crooks these days just yank from the bimmers and swap them over to their car. I'm actually pretty content with my PIAA bulbs. But if you must do the HID swap. Yes, it works.
yeah it works...gotta do a bit of modding, but it will work....5 series ones are easier to install but E46 will work
Hey jason, thought you asked on the Philips forum. You can use any OEM HID from other cars, but you have to retrofit the plug and possibly get it to sit properly in your light housing. It WILL work...btw, I think i'll be selling my HIDs very, very soon.

You should note that most cars that come equipped with HID's have self levelling systems (like the ones on E46 BMW off the rear suspension) that prevent blinding oncoming drivers (and cops) if you hit a bump or are on an incline. If you don't like tickets - don't get HID conversion kits - go with the PIAA superwhites.
