help with koni yellows
wassup peoples...i posted this in Tech and didnt get any responses for the past couple of days, so i decided to try this out in our forum.
i have some koni yellow shocks on my 90 crx si, and i heard that you can adjust the perch setting to make the car sit higher or lower? ive had these shocks for about 5 months now and i just figured that out. now how do i change the perch setting? just take off the shock, move the perch, and will it lock there in place? right now its on the middle perch i believe, out of 5 perch settings. which way makes the car sit higher, which way makes the car sit lower? set the perch down lower for the car to sit higher? its way too low right now for winter driving, and i wanted to raise it up at least an inch or so. does it really make the car sit higher/lower noticeably?
thanks

you need to pull out the c-clip and then put it in the higher "slot" to raise the car.
you will only raise the car up as much as the distance you move up the clip. so if the clips are spaced out by 1/4" and you move it up 2 spots, you will only raise your car by 1.2". does that make sense?
i've heard that people move the clips higher but the car doesn't raise up that much higher...

whats the easiest way to remove the rings?...push em out with two screw drivers?...when i did my teg i was to lazy to move em so i just left them in the middle...the car sits exactly where i want it....but when i get em for my crx i might want the car to ride a bit higher

Vice grips.
Two of them.
That'll work. OR, vice grips and a screw driver and work your way around the ring like you would when you repaired a flat tyre on your bicycle.
