its been covered a lot - you'll find all you need to know with the search.
Actually i did and i couldnt find anything about SRR's 4.929 final drive. other wise i wouldn't have made this post. thanks

I got a killer deal on it so i went ahead i bought it, but i just want to hear peoples opinion on SRR's FD 4.929. thanks...

Their final drive are pretty good. I was using SRR 4.7 kit on my SOHC motor. I guess u need to find out what's the most suitable tranny fluid for yourself after u installed the kit.

You forgot the Cusco FD. 5.029. Hehehe, think the ATS 4.929 is fun, try the Cusco

Cusco FD is 5.0.... i wouldn't mind to give it a try if i can get a hold of one for a good deal

how is it weak? has people been broke them or something?

My vote goes to ATS for 2 reaons.

1) I have one and love it!

It's always better to get ATS 4.9 final gear set if u can afford them. If not, and u can find something cheap from SRR. It may worth a try. But TDM is always TDM, even me I had been REALLY REALLY careful with my SRR 4.7 final gear set.

One of my friend's buddy have a set of Cusco 5.0 final gear set on his EK9 and he used it for a few years already. Still running strong with all those street abuse.

Anyway I rather use stock 98specR 4.785 setup if I have a B engine. It's good enough for me.

Well that is just it, .......it has all been hear say. I will soon be installing a tranny with the Cusco 5.029 FD, I will let you all know how it is first hand.

Who did you hear this from? Who does not recommend it? If it failed what happened? Facts thats what we need, not just I know a guys who's cousins brothers dog 's sister says xxx product is weak

Great thanks man. Will u just change the final gear or u will change the 5th or something else too?

I've tried the 4.7(4.714 to be exact??) setup on a GSR, great mod I love it.

is this for street use? If so, isn't 4.9 FD a bit agressive for street use...really buzzy on the highways
