Any 89-91 CRX w/b16 motor owners!!!
I have an 89 CRX ww/ the 1st gen b16 motor, i am getting a set of 450cc DSM injectors and the Hondata stg 3 ecu+boost, i need to know, do i need a resistor box to run this setup or not? If i do need the box, where can i find that? TiA
They had a post going on about 450cc DSM injectors in the Forced Induction forum, I think I remember... or someone mentioned it. I think one of the head honchos from Hondata (the thread might have been the Q&A regarding Hondata engine management systems) stepped in to say that without the resistor pack you'll burn out your ECU. I'm sure a quick search will remedy this crisis. HTH!
Well, thanks anyhow, i am the same one who asked that in the FI forum, i just wanted to know if the 2nd gen crx's have that resistor box? so i thought id ask the civic/crx forum!
Well, ****...
LOL
Anyway, I know the Si's all have resistor packs, they're located in the driver's side of the engine bay, near the firewall. They're a silver box with fins on the top. I dunno if that helps or not...
But here's a pic of where it should be: (if you look where the book is sitting, it's underneath that)
