I recieved an email from the gentleman whom I bought the 99-00 conversion from and I also purchased a 96 radiator support. He said he has two different part numbers for the two supports (99-00 and the 96-98). Will it matter which one I purchase?

I remembered reading you needed the 99-00 rad support, but recently I have read that you can use the 96. Not much help, but now you know there could be differing opinions.

 

Yeah I've read the same, however I'm unsure as to whether you can use the same is that they are identical for the headlight supports/bumper supports or for the fact that they are IDENTICAL.

 

dont purchase any..save yourself the money and just use yours already on the car..the 96-98 support is not identical to the 99-00 one..everything will bolt right up to it perfect except for the grill..on the 99-00 support the holes for the grill are farther apart..since you have the 96-98 support you should be fine with doing a litte modification to it..heres what id do..

put the grill up the support and see where the brackets from the 96-98 support get in the way..take a dremel tool and cut that bracket at a 45 degree angle so that then the 99-00 grill will be able to slide over the brackets..then mark the spots where the holes are for the grill onto the bracket part..take a drill and drill the new holes in and you should be set to go..well i hope this made sense and goodluck
