Default 96-98 front end on 99-00 civic...

Does this require any modification? I know people put the 99-00 on 96-98's all the time, but what about the other way around? And before you ask why, haha, I have my reasons for asking...

yah, all you need are 96-98 fenders, bumper, hood and headlights. all of which i would be willing to trade with you for your 99-00 front end

It seems like from what i've read you have to cut stuff OFF the 96-98 cars to get the 99-00 front on, but due you have to weld something ON to put the 96-98 on the 99-00?
