Default ecu code 6???

I have a '91 std (d15b2). I was getting a code 6 which was the ECT sensor. I just put a sensor in now and the check engine light turned off. But after going to the gas station, on the way back I noticed it came back on again and I checked the ecu and saw that it was throwing a code 6 again. I got the sensor from a junkyard but I don't understand why it just stopped working all of the sudden. Maybe it could be the sensor is bad but it was working just a few minutes before I went to the gas station. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Although it's possible that you have two bad sensors, it's more likely you've got an electrical connection problem. Check the pins on the connector to make sure one didn't push out of it's seat. The only other explanation is maybe you didn't replace the right one? The TW has two pins on it. The one for the temp sender has only one.

When I looked at the sensor it has 2 pins. I got the check engine light to turn off but now my car won't start. On top of that my ecu is still throwing a code 6. This is very confusing.
