Default Turbo pros Help! Question about a/r ratio

Ok. I have a T3 turbo with a .48 a/r on the exhaust side and im not sure about the compressor side because it was scrapped off. I am turboing an ls motor and am guessing that this turbo will be too small. Is there anything I can do to this turbo to make it better like changeing the exhaust housing to a bigger a/r , or should I sell it and get a t3 t4?

The exhaust housing will come off with the 6 bolts that are holding it on. You can purchase new .63a/r and .82a/r turbo housings from cheapturbo.com for a very good price. Go with the .63a/r housing for your LS, the .48a/r is good for quick spool up but limits power.

What about the compressor housing? Will I be fine with just the upgraded exhaust housing?

You should be. It's definitely worth trying
