CEL thrown today
I threw a CEL for some reason today so i had it pulled at a local auto parts store and he said it was code # 420 and that my cat may be clogged or not reading correctly. I came home and made sure the O2 bung was still in there and there were no leaks and what not. I pulled the battery cables and reset everything. CEl went away. Can/will it come back? I am going to the dyno tonight so hopefully i don't see a huge power loss. This is the first time i have had problems in over a year with the Carsound cat (bought from SMSP).
that CEL wont cause any problems.. (like LIMP mode)
Also, try to check the CEL yourself next time...

code 420? Mike, just take a paperclip or in Dave's case a fork and short circuit the ECU and figure out the code.
You should be okay.
Dave's philosophy: "Still have vtec? Keep driving it."
