AEM V2 intakes? your thoughts... hype or innovation?
sparked by a thread at H-A.net.

what do you guys think? since you guys are pretty knowledgeable about tech and physics concepts.

I personally think its more hype/marketing and that an increased piping diameter over AEM's initial CAI size would probably yield similar results. just my 2 cents

The physics makes sense. Put your thumb over the end of a garden hose, or one of those nozzles, and the water speeds up. Anytime you go from a big pipe to smaller pipe you get faster flow. THe question is : is it worth the money? I haven't seen prices yet. IF you already have a CAI, it won't be worth the money for 1 or 2 HP. If you have stock intake, it might be worth the money, depending on price. Maybe they'll have some kind of trade in program for people with V1s, but I doubt it.
