well its not me but its my buddy...

Stock GSR motor w/del sol pistons
Type R head with mild milling and porting
100 shot using direct port
24.5x7/13 slicks
Full leather interior
Power steering, AC
12.2 at 113mph

I saw the run and could not believe it. He had no traction and subsequently had a 2.1 60'. He could have gotten into the 11's. He builds motors and installs nitrous for a living so he knows his stuff.

Ive posted the specs on our motor before but here it is again.....

KG ported head
Custom ground Crower cams
Ferrea springs and valves
9:1 JE's
Crower Rods
running on c-16 w/o Nitrous the motor made 180whp
running with a 100 shot it made 300whp with 300ft/tq+
With the 100 shot it ran 10.80 at 132mph 1.53 60'
With the 150 shot it ran 10.9* at 136mph 1.6* 60'
With the 250 shot it ran 11.* at 142mph 2.2* 60' lol

Now we run 150shot with 30psi from a T72.......on 28"slicks we have seen 1.4 60's

highbrid,

Did your friend use upgraded injectors with that setup? How many runs has he ran with that setup and is it still running?

The reason i ask is i am running basically the same setup. However i ran a 12.1 @ 110 with only a 40-50 wet single shot. Im deffinetely itching to upgrade to a 80 or 100 shot direct port, but was afraid the pistons would melt.

my friend ran that one time and then blew his motor because it bogged, he hit the nitrous and he basically cracked a piston in half. How did you get such good times with the same setup and less of a shot? The direct port is definatly more of a punch than the single fogger setup.

Ouch!! sorry to hear about your friend's setup. Did it bog because it was to lean or did he shoot the N20 to early?

I actually could go faster with my current setup of a 40-50 shot. At the time I was only running pump gas, no ignition system, and couldnt shoot the N20 off the line as im only running 22x13x8 slicks. I had to launch the car how I race it all motor and then punch the N20 when the slicks actually grab. And the time is not a fluke, I have numerous 12.2, 12.3, 12.4 with the same shot and even 12.3 and 12.4 using the jets from a direct port 80 shot. So it was only like a 20 shot =P that was the test runs to see if it actually will work without blowing up.

Reasons why I am capable of running such times is probably due to the D-TECH system. Its a system my friend designed way back in the day that enabled them to run low 12s with direct port kits on stock gsr motors. Granted these were on daily driven hatches with full interior.

Without the D-tech system i highly doubt i could run such times.

what exactly does dtech do. I dont know why his motor bogged. He was using new slicks and he just warmed them up too much, they grabbed really hard and he bogged, i dont know if that is what did it but its no big deal since he builds motors for a living and he and i also built mine.

The D-tech system is a safety device we incorporate into our Nos setups. It allows us to control the RPM we want the nitrous to shutoff, instead of physically shutting off the solenoid.

D-tech has been proven time and time again by our team to provide substanially lower E.T.'s
