Cold air: 2x the power of short ram, can hydrolock if you go through DEEP puddles.

Short ram: Cheap, no risk of hydrolock.

Sp - I have an AEM cai for my '94 EX. had it for almost 3 yrs. now and I live in New England (Ma.) Plenty of weather and storms to bear with my car. As long as you don't have stupid driving skills - hydrolocking is not going to be an issue.

GET THE COLD AIR INTAKE!!!

I smell bullshit!
2x power? wow..i hope so.
short ram=faster response
cai=slower response(aim at mid to hi end at the powerband)

CAI will give you a slight boost over SRI since it takes the air from outside of car rather where as SRI takes the air from inside the engine compartment which is warmer. There will be an improvement but it's not gonna be as much as 2X, that's bs. I'd get CAI if you don't plan on selling it or if you have the tools/willingness to cut into your wheelbase to fit the filter. Get SRI if you plan on selling it later on, or if you're not willing to cut into your car. The install is pretty simple for SRI also.

depend on car too.
generally cai are better(in term of over all performance goes)
but when you crusing in freeway, the response is better with short ram, since the incoming air cant really get heated that fast..
just save up for a cai..and avoil big fat flood.

CP Performance CAI, ~80-100 bucks, supposed to be modeled after the AEM unit... and is now CARB exempt i believe.

According to dyno tests CAI's usually have about twice the peak HP of a short ram. Unless you know something that a dyno doesn't....
