how many cans of spray paint will i need roughly to paint a eg? im gonna paint the exterior,door jams,and rear interior and rear hatch jam..ill paint under the hood next winter when i can pull the motor again

 

quite a few. Depends on how good you spray and how thick you lay it on. Probably about 1-2 per panel. 1 for each jam, 2 for hood, etc. Probably between 10 and 12

edit- rear interior, probably another 2 to 3. Depends on what brand. Krylon puts quite a bit in their cans.

Will you have to wash the car after your car has flat colored paint on it, or let it get abused. Its just really funny...

 

if I was you, get a tinted primer sealer and have a shop do it. Be about 50 bucks for the paint and a shop, or you could spray it on. Be more even, protect better, and be tinted exactly how you want it.

If you don't have a compressor, ou could rent/borrow one. renting one is like 20 bucks a day, and a cheap spray gun from Harbor Freight tools is like 20. For under 100 bucks, compared to 50-70 for paint cans, you'll have a MUCH cleaner job with better primer.

 

i have a compressor and guns and a spray booth in my garage..what i was gonna do is buy a case of 20 olive drab green krylon spray paint cans then gut my car, mask it, sand it, wash it, dry it,mask it again and then spray it...would i be able to spray the car with krylon cand and then use my compressoe and gravity feed to spray the sealer on it? what sealer do i need?

 

why not just buy 2 pints of car paint since you have a compressor and gun.
the paint will run you like 200 bucks or something...

i dont think you should spray your car with krylon spray paint cans.
