there was a older man who had a white itr and had one installed...he also had all the emblems taken off as long as the wing..can you say slepper?
Bah, moonroof means less headroom for wearing a helmet. I like not having one so I can sit comfortable and not have to hunch my head down when I have my helmet on.

i considered buying this one with a/c and dealer installed moonroof which is bigger than the gs-r one
I always wondered if it would be possible to get a sunroof removed.
I'm sure it would costly but the added headroom in my GS-R would
be so nice.

a type R with a sun/moonroof isn't a type R. even if it is one.
one of the major characteristics of the R is that it doesn't have the sunroof. it's like having an R with cruise control and all the sound deadening tar for comfort..
do you know how hot it gets there??
I see nothing wrong with a sunroof...
if this is the case, does adding sideskirts defeat the purpose of having a Type-R ?

A sunroof/moonroof is a comfort thing and the Type R is void of most comfort things. The R was made with one purpose, to go around a track as quick as possible. This is why most of us bought and love our car. A sunroof will not make you go faster just like cruise control.

I agree... a Type R should never have a sun/moonroof added. That is a comfort item. Suspension, wheels, exhaust etc are all performance. The R is more performance oriented, so it should stay that way. No body kits, no 18" wheels, no moonroof, etc. I'm sure I'll get flamed for this, but keep in mind the reason Honda had behind the R. With so few here in the states, why ruin them?

ok i see your points but.. lets take a step back here.. what IS a type R really? is it a race car? no. it's still a street car. althought it CAN be built up to be a fully prepped race car, in the end, it's still a street car. I see nothing wrong with adding comfort items to street cars.
EVEN if you pretend to be joe weekend racer, you still need comfort items. why did Honda stick in carpeting? or a sound system? or even climate control? cuz it's a street car.
