Default 1992 Civic Si Tranny on 91 Crx Si?

Wasn't able to find it in a search(then again I might just suck at it) Anyways, would a 92 civic si tranny bolt up to a 1991 crx si engine?

acutally it will bolt up ... but it wont work in a 88-91 car unless you convert to hydro or use the hyrda bracket..

READ ALL THIS **** THIS IS WHAT I GOT I REALLY DONT FEEL LIKE QUOTING IT ALL

Q: Is it possible to do a 1991 dx 4 speed to 1992 cx 5 speed tranni swap?

A: 1. I don't think so because I'm pretty sure that the cx tranny would be a hydro tranny and all the 4th gen trannys are cable. Also, if you have a 4spd tranny, you have a Std model Civic, not a DX. The DX had a 5 spd.

2. 92 is a hydraulic tranny need to convert this first and I believe that the transmission mount is different also.

3.It is possible but there is a large amount of custom fabrication that needs to be done. You would be better off swapping in a 5 speed out of a 90-91 civic/crx

4.DX is a 5-speed a STD is a 4 speed, it matters because the DX has the same hubs as a Si and the STD has the same smaller hubs as the HF. It matters because of Axels. If you really have a STD and Not a DX you won't have the hubs you need for most swaps and the axels will be different.

5.um the axles from a std will work.

6.there was a post a long time ago with, it was about a guy doing this. not a STD to a cx hydro. but a full hydro conver. he has it all layed out with pix. this must have been a year ago. but it is able to be done. i might try to do it in a year or so, if i stick with SHOC. the guy on that post bought all new parts and has them listed, if you could find that post or the guy that wrote it you would be stocked!!!
i would like to see this done again. and also it is possible. just kinda a pain in the a$$. SEE YA.

7.DX is a 5-speed a STD is a 4 speed, it matters because the DX has the same hubs as a Si and the STD has the same smaller hubs as the HF. It matters because of Axels. If you really have a STD and Not a DX you won't have the hubs you need for most swaps and the axels will be different. and the CX I believe is a hydrolic. can't see why you would go through that however, A DX trans has got to be about the same price as the kit to swap a hydrolic trans in a cable car. if you were swapping in something with ***** then it would make sense to do that.

hope it helped good luck!
