radio wiring help!
I just picked up a deck for my 90 crx and trying to intsall it right now.....
I took apart everything and i see:
8 wires for speakers,
1 white/blue wire which I assume is for power
1 yellow/red wire which I assume is for ACC
Thats it no more wires, wheres ground? wheres illumination?
Im lost please help, and I did search.

Time to break out the multi-meter or a test light.....sorry, I don't have anything to look at and get you the color codes. Maybe someone in the Audio-security forum can be of more help??
As far as the ground, worse comes to worse, you could always run a new ground to the unibody somewhere( or maybe the reinforcements for the dash.

check this out .. make all the speakers go to where they belong .. you figure out which speak is which by puttin a double A battery across 2 wires and if its a speaker you can hear the speaker make a noise .. then you have your speakers.. take the black wire and tie it with the other black wire or ground it anywhere that is a good ground .. take the yellow wire and put a fuse on it if you can and tie it with the constant wire .. the red goes to acc power.. the blue from the deck is remote for amp or eq. you dont need illumination ...
so you have your ~
black.. ground
red..acc
yellow..constant power
and your speakers . thats all you need.
if you need help identifying the wires in your car let me know.

Thanks for the help, especially the lil speaker tip.
After I sorted out all the speaker wires, theres only 2 wires left.
1 white/blue and 1 black/grey grey is not stripe its dots or boxes shape, can this be the ground wire? Wheres ACC wire?
First off I know the deck works coz when I use jumper cables to connect the deck to battery it works.
I wired up the white/blue to yellow wire on deck and black/grey to ground on deck, dont work. Tried ground on brackets, chassis, ran a long *** wire to engine bay still dont work. **** man wish I had a multimeter right now........ Theres no other wires, help!

Checked everywhere, theres no black wire or white/green wire. Only a white/blue and black/grey left.
How about this, can i splice into the clock's wiring and use its ground and power?
Screw it for tonight its already 1am, i'll wait till tomorrow and get a hold of a voltmeter... Oh yea can it be the fuse? not sure coz my clock works and they should have the same fuse right?

dont use a multi meter .. just a testlight is much easier ..if you really cant find the wires you need then yes the clock will work ..theres nothin wimpy about them . 12 volts is 12volts. just kinda ghetto.
Ok with the test light today I was able to find that no power was getting to the radio power wires or the cigarette lighter wires.
So I just screwed it and spliced into the clocks power and ground. Radio works fine now, power, memory everything.
But now the clock has no memory, it only comes on when i press it manually but it always resets back to 1:00. Anyone have any ideas??

did you split the memory to both the clock and radio? or run memory to the radio only? Theres two running to your clock, plus 2 others
1: your battery/memory (white and blue stripes)
2: you ingnition/accessory (yellow with red stripes)
on my wiring to the radio my #2 wire wasnt working so i just routed it down to the radio instead because i dont have a clock anyways
make sure your radio is getting both wires aswell...i just used a tester light to figure out which
for some reason the power wires to the radio usually stop working? its happened to me and my friend 4 times when we rewire up a new deck

Nothing is missing to the clock, whatever wires were there to start with is still there. I didnt cut the clock wires, I just sliced the insulation off and solder the deck wires onto it. Makes no sense!! My clock was working fine before. Fuse is ok, deck has memory how come clock doesnt?????????????????????
