me and my friend are both piecing together turbo kits right now for b18b's, i already have a manifold, but i dont know what flange is on it, but what turbo's should we look for, we want to run about 10 psi for him and up to 15-20psi eventually on mine, we want them to be external wastegate. about how much are we gonna have to spend on an ok turbo? and which particular ones should we look for..

 

I bought a used turbo once. No wait... twice. First time it had bad seals. 2nd time, it worked great, but unfortunately, it was a high mileage turbo and I caught the last ~7500 miles of its life. So, $275 later, I still need to buy another turbo. This time, I'm buying new. **** used. It's just not worth it. If you can't afford to do it right the first time, you had better be able to afford to do it right the 2nd time.

 

so what kind of turbo would you reccomend, off of what cars???

 

your best bet is to buy leaky turbos for like 30$ and rebuild em..
