Default Vehicle Speed Sensor ?

I got this code 2 times when I was driving, the first time it happen I was turning, the turn was right after a hill I went over. So I thought maybe it was because I was turning. I reset the ecu and everything seemed fine. The next I got it I was coming down the same hill but I did not turn. So it seems to go on everytime I go down a hill. I read some other post about this problem and it seems water could get inside it, atleast I thought I read that. Basically my question is, me going down hill, does that have anything to do with the code ?

usually when you're slowing down you'll get the code if you're VSS or speedo is bad.

Well I just got it again, and yes it was when I was slowing down. So how do I test it ? My speedometer seems fine. Could this be caused by a bad ground, also I heard that the vss usually does not go bad. Maybe its just loose. By the way, will my old vss work that was on my dx engine. I have a b16 now.

1. Take the guage cluster out, this mean unhook everything you you have entire cluster out
2. Break off a pencil and put it where the spedo cable went.
3. Put an ohmmeter on the 2 screws under where the spedo cable went. There should only be 2 and there right next to each other.
4. There should be CONTINUNITY between the 2 termanals, then turn the pencil counterclockwise and it should be 4 times with each revolution, now I'm unsure if this means 4, 8, 32 ohms or what but thats what the helms says

If you cant find a B16 VSS, I have one with the cable and clips too that I used for 3 months. I upgraded to an electronic VSS to work the JDM cluster. Let me know if you want it, I paid $70 shipped w/ cable. I'm paypal verified too.

I may be wrong but only the SI-R and 92+ Civic use the VSS on the tranny. You can use the VSS on the tranny but you have to rewire for it.
