engine starts but it turns off if it does not have me press the gas? what i need to do to keep it on and idle at right rpms? i dont have the water in or the coolant. is this maybe why? on the engine harness i have a plug that i think is broken but works but the plastic housing is gone just the wires to go on the metal points that stick out. please tell me how i can get my car on the road. someone told me it can be the crank sensor but if it was how does the car start? like it does?

First of all you should put the proper mixture of anitfreeze and water in ASAP. Not trying to flame, but how can you know enough to do a swap and forget coolant? Hope you didn't damage anything. Anyway, you may need to adjust the throttle, if it is set to low it will stall. Also when you hook up the new ecu, I think it takes a few minutes to learn what rpm to idle at so you may want to hold the throttle for a few minutes and see if it stalls. This will only work if the throttle is adjusted correctly. Do you have a Check Engine Light? I hope this helps.
