wow ..thats a very nice trap ....with better traction ......you'd see very low 14's ...

umm...whats the purpose of posting up specs of a DC2R ....do you think it really can only get 15.1 ....if you were smarter maybe you'd know better .....

I wasn't saying that it can't do a 14.7, I was suggesting that maybe it is capable of even more.

Every car is different, you have good eggs and bad eggs. Options may have an average one. Does Japan actually run the 1/4 mile or 400m??? 400m is less than 1320 ft....

Good Point, but with the right driver the DC5 R is very capable of 14.7. I had one up until a month ago and someone Totaled it while it was parked. Hit and run...
Anyway, it's a nice car and built very well. Very Capable of mid to low 14's out of the box and who knows with a few Mod's The K20a responds well to basic Mods

Basline HP 220.3 and 21.4KG-m (154.8 Ft-lb)
Replaced the exhaust System with a J's Racing--234.8 and 162 ft-lb
replaced the 2-1 downpipe---241.2 and 164.2 ft-lb
replaced air cleaner with a K&N 253.1 and 170
Mugen N1 ECU---- 260.8 and 185.9 ft-lb

Peak HP was around 8 grand give or take a few 100 for each test that was done.
thats f*ckin awesome ..i thought i'd never see the day when a Honda Motor could see torque numbers like that with out a turbo ....

the K20a is a masterpeice ...

the suspension is ...ehh ..i'm sure it makes up for it with its stiffer chassis

i know its capable of more than 14.7 ..i was more interested in the trap speed ...14.7 is caused by driver error most likely

True 400m is 1312 feet However 101 MPH and 14.7 SEc in a DC5R Sounds like a 1/4 mile to me... Especially since the dc2 R is a low 14 sec car and that's what it says here as well so why should the DC5 be different?
i thought the 400 m was 1320 feet ....i dont know ..i flunked math twice

Why do you have to be an ***? I said nothing negative towards you, if anything I answered your question which was so easy im surprised your stupid *** did not know. All you gotta do to find an answer is to look at your speedometer. you didnt even have to pass math to figure that one out genius.

and the reason I put the type R vs prelude page was to show the stupidity of mag racing, mag racer. if a car traps at over 100mph I'm pretty sure it can run better than a 14.7. but only an idiot that doesnt know anything about the 1320 couldnt see that. sorry that I had to lower myself to your level of insults but you asked for it, also I was trying to be helpful while you were just being yourself I guess.

I only have a history of replying to rude behavior. Nobody likes having their car being put down, I'm sure you dont, and I would defend myself if I feel i have been insulted. and you cant say this forum doesnt have a history of rude behavior being brought here by various non-RSX owners. but i will admit that I am surprised by your apology but I accept it and give you for admitting you were wrong. Hopefully this forum can change for the better if more people started acting like you.

OMG, oh no he didn't...

He's making this HUGE assumption without even owning/driving a DC5R, lol.

Yea I probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference right now. I have driven the dc2R, thanks to a friend of mine, but the dc5r, have not come across it all, just by pictures and thats the closest I've come across to it. But from the looks as to what I see, I would take the DC5R over the DC2R any day, but that's just in my opinion.
