I was wondering what sort of "special mods" need to be performed to shoehorn a prelude motor into a 6th gen (ie fender cuts/bends or welds). Also, is it possible to retain factory PS or AC? If it is too hard than i say f*!# AC and i can will do without PS. Does any body know if any turbo kit will fit in this swap?

No cutting or welding is necessary.. Just look at my sig.. it's possible!
Wiring, mounts, axles, and time are all that's necessary. Try searching.. there's hundreds of H22EK threads out there. You CAN keep AC, PS is a mystery, some say yes, others no. As for turboing it, yeah, it'll fit. Check it out.
Nice and torquey. Get your mounts from Newman or H22EK from this board. they sell the AC bracked you'll need too.

tim is right in all that he is saying, it is not very hard at all, and by the way Newman is in jail!!
and WTF?
As far as I have heard he is in jail for embesselment and grand theft, I guess he was stealing computers from chico state, and may be behind some stolen car parts around here. i am working on getting the details
Yeah i think its so funny when poeple are all like "what all do i have to cut out and weld and **** to fit this H22 in my civic." Actually in the 96-00 civic's theres is tons of room with the H22 in there. About the only tight spot is the intaked manifold and the firewall. The engine is very easy to drop in and to take out. Mines out right now getting some major work done and when i took it out it took maybe 45 minutes to remove it. Heres a pic for fitment issuses. Tell you one thing, after you do this swap once it is so very easy after that. Later

if you already have a b18c then pull it extend some wires and do the h22 swap, you already are wired for it, and if it is in an ek get the hcp kit with A/C bracket
So Brian, are you running the website in Newman's absence? I noticed his email is still on the site, and I didn't see yours out there.
BTW, Thanks for ALL your help with my swap. It's running beautifully now and I really appreciate you guys helping me whenever possible. The mount kit worked like a charm.

I will admit that the EK can accommodate the H22 very nicely. I installed a B16 into my friends 96 CX hatch and I thought, man that thing looks so small in there. Time to setup up to the mighty H Deuce Deuce!!!!

Noo. They don't get along. They used to do business which eachother, I believe, but never were in business together.
