Intake noise- bit annoyin'
Hi there.
I have a short intake installed for almost a year and the noise it makes till 4000 rpms is a bit annoying to me. How can I make it more silent? Does putting the cone in the bumper help? I have a headache hearing that rumbling. Maybe I'm getting old

Hey if by short intake you mean short ram, then you have no idea. The AEM CAI screams when you open it up. (I like it though). When you are around 3k rpm it whistles, for 2-3 seconds. So be happy with that little grunt ya got.

Damn dude, I actually like my loud *** CAI.
Between that and the exhaust even the stereo can't drown them out and no one can talk to me while I'm driving, which suits me just fine.
Seriously though, it's kinda like a post I saw on another board with a guy bitching & griping about his modified Lude's shitty gas mileage; you gotta give up something to get something. I don't know of any quiet & fast cars...
I guess you won't be putting on that test pipe then, huh?
You ever heard a sc'd Lude before? Now that's some serious noise.
