Motor break-in with forged pistons and sleeved block?

What is the break-in period of a freshly re-built engine with forged pistons and a sleeved block?

From what i know don't take it past 3000 rpms and don't let it sit there and idle for more than 10-20 minutes.

For how long? 1000 miles?

yes 1000 miles is good enough for a break-in period.
