bad idle / maintence / general? + extra info
well i finshed my timing belt, alternator belt, fuel filter, brake lines, valve adjustment, water pump, and clutch in the new crx i just bought. Everything seemed to go pretty good. I was goign to change out the tensioner with a z6 tensioner form a spare block i had laying around, but they are different and do not swap out. I also loosened the crannk pulley bolt a different way than normal; remove flywheel cover, put from engine brace bolt back in block, use on eof the bolts from teh header brace and tread it into the back of the flywheel(from the presseure plate bolt holes, and stick somthign between the 2.
Problems:
1. on my way to work tpday i threw a CEL. I think this is from not having the speedo cable connected (i still dont understand how that works, if soemoen has a picture of the hole it goes into that would help me.)
2. my idle seems to fluctate between 1000 rpms and 1200, it has a little surge to it. ? I bleed the coolant system but maybe i didnt get all the air out?
3. also on my way to work my clutch cable's nut, to adjust the play, backed all the way out and i lost the clutch. I retightened it but how does it stay there? I only have one nut ontop of the bracket it goes through. is that normal?
4. is it normal for the upper control arms to go bad bc it looks liek i have soem negative camber in the from (at stock ride heigth)

1. The CEL is definetly from your speedo cable if it isn't connected. It's tricky to get in. In the hole that you insert it to, there's a lil slot that you push a clip into, that holds the cable in. Feel that puppy up and you'll find it.
2. I hate idles. Anyways, mine was fluctuating between 1000 and 1500 and all it was, was the throttle body screw. Try closing it a lil (clockwise)
3. Mine did that once too, right after I installed my clutch. I adjusted it again until it felt right, and it stayed there. I think it'll pop off if it isn't adjusted to the right spot, putting too much pressure/tension on it.

i am goign ot get it aligned soon and see what they say, i drove to work todya no CEL!! yeah. BUT my speedo needle bounces when i stop at a stop light it does a little danc ofr a second or 2 the subsides, it seems fine when i drive as far as not jumping around only when i am stopped. any thought?S
