Default Im considering a k series head swap....

(opt cliff notes at bottom)

Ive got an 02 si. (hate me if u want) im intrested in getting just the rsx-s complete head and swapping it. Cost i've found so far is 1150 for the complete piece. (minus the little bolts and gaskets i may need)

The block #'s (k20a3 and k20a2) have the same part #'s from what ive been told. I'm guessing that i would need the cylinder head, 11:1 pistons (stock), JDM cams [itr preferably], type s crankshaft with rods, and the ecu. [plugs right into my si harness (for vtec crossover and fuel mapping, which could further be flashed by hondata) ]

Who here thinks its possible? and shed some insight on what I might need that i may have left out. Im just trying to get some info from some real techie's and hope to get some credible answers.

I would also get it ported and polished (3 way probably)

of course i would need a stronger clutch...and the 5sp tranny seems to be pretty strong.

Cliff notes:
I would like to do a k20A2 head swap on my k20a3 ep si hatch. I believe it can be done, relatively cheap(like ls/vtec of b series since mine doesnt actually have real vtec). Can some people point me in the right direction.....i might just wait 2-3 yrs and do the engine/tranny swap if the market comes around. Just throwing some ideas on the table. I know the entire engine swap is more relative, but am trying to pin some connectability to the k-series. peace and please dont hate me for my ep civic.

just for the records i payed 16g for the car.
