Default Help me decide.....Greddy E-manage vs. VAFC vs. Hondata

96 GSR
ITR internals
Ported Head
Kenji P28 (soon to be)
Cams will be either Toda B or Skunk Stage2
00 Si tranny
Skunk manifold
Spoon throttlebody
Stck injectors for now but have a set of RC 310's for the new cams

I have my engine management narrowed down to the following 3. If I could have your experiences with any of them I would really appreciate it.

Hondata I know is very effective but the closest tuner charges $175 hr to tune. Seems like allot to spend everytime I add/subtract something from my set-up.

So I guess it's really down to Vafc and E-Manage?

E-Manage and VAFC are map sensor controllers. Hondata is not.

If I had a job the ems would be a no brainer. I am not trying to break any world records, just want something that is effective, cheap and can give me a decent A/F ratio

Do you need to do any splicing of wires or any sensor tapping to use the VAFC? Or is it just plug and play?

vafc works great , but deff not plug and play. i gained 10whp thru the power badn with mine , but the thing that sucked is before vtec for some reason we always lean out. well we maxed the fuel out right bedore vtec and still a little leaner thna liked.
no biggie though.
i sold that and got hondata 4b and works great for me soo far.

So do you go to Ericks' or Import Builders to get it tuned?
