Default camber kit install trouble

I've got a set of Ingalls front camber kits Im trying to install on my 91 CRX Si. I got about 30mins into the install when I ran into a problem. I cant get the upper control arm bushings seperated from the bracket they're on. I figured they were just on real tight, so I left em soaking in some pb blaster overnight.. that didnt help at all. Then I went to Autozone and O'rielly's today. They told me the bushings had been pressed in but they didnt have a press to press them out. But looking at this tutorial (http://www.deepstaged.net/ingalls_ca...it_install.htm ) .. it just says "Gently hammer them out".. well guess what.. they dont "gently hammer out". Heres a couple pics so you guys know what peice Im talking about..

That is a retaining/locating plate. Not sure if it is offered by Honda as a separate piece. If not you need a machine shop to press the parts out and the new ones in. OR-get the Specialty Products bushing inserts and have them pressed in the anchor bolts.
Just another idea

I have an ingalls kit to. It had poly bushings already in it, why would you have to use the old bushings? Why wouldn't yours come with them already inside? As for the plate the Ingalls instructions on mine said not to use/worry about it.

Im not trying to use the old bushings... Im trying to get those bushings or whatever the stick peice is called, OUT of the brace/plate. So then I can put my Ingalls camber kits with rubber bushings in their place.

Who said it does? When I installed my kit I removed the old anchor bolts with the plate between it, remove some sort of metal rings from the Ingalls and then bolted them right up. I never had to press anything or take anything off the old anchor bolts.

No no.
You completely replace that stuff with the camber kit.
Put that stuff in your parts box for the day you decide to sell the car and want to put the stock stuff back on.

No you don't
The camber kit replaces the stock unit.
No need for the "plate thingy"

Thank you Spaceballs. I was unsure of the need for the part. Then again my Prelude and 96 Civic don't have it either. The CRX is having the Specialty Products kits put on for ITA racing as that is all that is allowed up front.
