Default Buffing Lenses to a shine

Any advice on how to buff my tail lights, bumper lights, etc. to a shine? Some people told me to sand it with 1500 grit sandpaper, then use... ? TIA

Use plastic polish. I used 1500 grit to wetsand one of my headlights and it only made it worse. I used some plastic polish and it looks a lot better now...

this should be helpful.. you dont have to take your stuff apart, just follow the instructions they give you for the outside.

just use some polishing compound.. the stuff used to typically buff your cars paint..

It really works wonders on those unpainted door handles/mirrors/side moldings(if done correctly.. tend to melt easy though) but if done right.. they look like they have just been clearcoated.

so i'd imagine that it would do the same for headlights/taillights and that ****

On my roommate's 94 integra, his headlights had that yellow mist to it... you know what i mean? We rubbed it ALL off with 3M rubbing compound and then used metal polish to polish them.... They turned out beautifully... *almost brand spanking new...

It'll only take only 15 years to do...

um i think he meant 15 minutes.. my roomate gets braindead after 12 hahah.. but yea.. it made my headlamps look hella clear. It lookss almost as good as my roomate's 01 headlamps i'd say if his were 100% mine are about 96%.
You can get the 3m rubbin compound in a small grey/black bottle at kragens for round 5 bucks i think. and like he said we followed with some metal polish. oh and remember to buff it completely off.

Start off w/1000 grit then 1500 and then 2000 grit.Use a buffer w 3m rubbing compound then follow up w 3m galze on the buffer.Be carefull not to keep the buffer in one spot to long ,you will overheat the plastic and ruin them.Fix them at my shop all the time.
