I was just looking at my stock h23 tb and noticed theres not enough metal to bore it out to 70mm. How did they do it??? Do they manufacture the entire tb from scratch or does the b series have alot more metal there?

 

arent the TYPE S throttle bodies bigger than the H22's??

pretty sure they use a type-argh tb for the b series units. they are 70mm at the opening and taper down a little bit, to 68mm i think.

 

ive got one, they taper down to 62.

 

the spoon tb is 70mm then it tapers down tothe stock type-r bore 64mm. it is a stock itr tb.

 

its 62, weve measured a ton of times, 62.

 

 

Bubbajim is right; the Spoon TB tapers from 70mm>62mm.

 

type s is bigger that is how they do it...
