Can someone direct me to where I can purchase a R-134 conversion kit for a 90LX.
Your freindly nieborhood Honda dealer should have them. They would probably be cheaper at a large auto parts store though.

Walmart sells a retrofit kit with 3 bottles of R-134a for about 33 bucks

jc whitney sells kits for a good price.
why exactly do you want to change it, i know people do all the time but i don't see the difference. i have a 91 accord ex and mine works fine so i don't see what the differences are in the 2.

I would like for my A/C to last more than 6 months, so if somone can give me the lowdown about 134a eating away rubber seals and how to purge the system of residual R-12 mineral oil I would be grateful.

A kit from Wal-Mart isnt going to give me much technical info.. Couldnt find much information about Accord AC systems on the net.
R134a won't eat up your seals or o-rings. You don't have to remove the old oil. Converting is fairly easy: Recover the old r12, add the proper amount of PAG oil, install high and low side adapters, vac the system down for a half hour, and charge with the proper amount of r134a. As long as the system was in good shape to begin with, there shouldn't be any problems.
