Swap Question - DX Exhaust on B16A2?
I purchased a complete B16A2 swap for 1800 yesterday, but the only ehxuast I have is my stock DX exhaust. The piping for the Si header that came with the swap is 2" OD and the piping for my DX Exhaust is 1-3/4" OD.
Will it be ok to run this exhaust on this motor?
Will it be too constrictive, and in effect, harm the motor?
Thanks.

i had a b16a2 swap in a 96 cx and i used the stock piping for the longest time. nothing was wrong with my motor, ran fine.

What did you do as far as the cat situation? The DX has the cat and 2 02 sensors built into the header where as the Si has an 02sensor in the header, then the cat with another 02sensor. Did you just take the exhaust to a muffler shop and get them to put the cat in between the Si Header and the CX Piping?
Thanks for the reply.
Thanks for the reply.
i went to the same situation when i first did my b16a swap, No its not gonna harm the motor, but the stock DX is exhuast is bottle necking the air flow, go to a muffler shop and get custom piping, preferably 2.25". if you wanna retain stock look and sound, add a resonator and GSR, Type R, or 00si muffler.
You can take one o2 sensor out plug the hole and wire one into both computer inputs I did it without codes thrown. I also run a hondata.

I would get some piping, I'm just REALLY strapped for cash at the moment. I already know which aftermarket exhaust I want. Just have to save up some money.
