Here we go.
1. Before installing my new cams I'm taking it that I should go ahead and put the new cam gears on them before I put them in? Should I put thread locker on the bolt?
2. I'm using STR cam gears. I've heard that they can be off so how in the heck to I degree them? Will they be so far off that setting them at 0,0 will hurt something until I can get to the dyno?
3. I'm thinking of marking a timing belt tooth and marking the corrosponding tooth on the new cam gears to make sure the timing belt goes back on exactly right? Are there any problems with this idea. I don't want to be off 15 degrees of timing from being one tooth off. That can't be good.
4. Does advancing the intake cam advance or retard the ignition timing? If I keep them set at 0,0 do I have to worry about anything.(again until I get to the dyno)
5. What are the main things I should be scared about doing that if done incorrectly will cause bad bad things to happen to my engine.
< thinks the first time he cranks the motor all he is going to hear is "ting, ting, ting, ting, snap, arraakkk BOOM!" or something of that nature.

one way to make sure your cam gears are at 0,0 is to compare them to stock ones..ie the ones that are on the car now. just line up the key slots and adjust accordingly...i learned this the hard way
Set it to tdc before you start.
I think that you might go ahead and put the cams in and get them tightened down, then take off the old camgears and put the new ones on and torque them to spec. Im not sure of the best way though. How could you get them tightened if they are out of the car? Its not like you can hold them with one hand and tighten the camgear with the other.
I marked my timing belt when i swappedheads. Just take your time and you should be fine. You should prolly back the valve adjusters all the way out, to prevent binding when putting new big cams in. (from what ive heard). I think i told you about that already.

Leave them at 0,0 Once you get to dyno start advancing them one at a time!
I put loc tite (blue) on bolts that hold gears, Tq to 41 i think?
Keep eye on the cam seals!

I belive the torque value is 27 ft lbs on the cam gear bolts (the one that holds it to the camshaft)
*goes to check helms*
edit: the torque value on the cam gear bolts is indeed 41 ft lbs.
my mistake! I am glad i checked it because i torqued mine to 27 but i was looking at the wrong engine when doing the install. Oh well at least i have been real easy on my car these past few days.

Yeah last time it took my cams out, I forgot to take the cam gears off while the cams were still in the head
So I ended up holding the cam in my hand with a towel while dad broke the bolts loose with an impact gun
Kinda weird but it worked.
I would definitely recommend marking the timing belt and the corresponding tooth on the cam gear, just so you can be sure the motor is in time.

Check this out, it makes everything pretty clear to me, im doing my cams soon also
Also: For TDC:
Just align the cam gear dimples so that the 9 o'clock mark on the intake cam gear lines up to the 3 o'clock mark on the exhaust cam gear.
To Degree Cam Gears:
Overlay them with my stock gears and lined up the key notch as well as the TDC mark and side dimples.
