I'm trying to use the PR4 OBDO ecu for my SOHC VTEC engine but my car idles at 1500rpm and throwing a Code 12(EGR). But when I put back my PM6, everything runs fine. How can I fix the code so I can run the PR4?

The PM6/88-91 Si don't have an EGR. Your PR4 ECU is looking for the EGR valve, and the valve/wiring is not there.

 

So is there anyway I can bypass this?

 

None of those are vtec anyway. Why do you want to use a non-vtec ECU with a vtec engine? You'll be missing 2 maps in your ROM which will make your car run lean when vtec is in.

If you still want to use your PM6, I have a chip with the right program to run your engine. No need for the PR4. PM me if you're interested.

 

i just had in mine, i had code 12 also , its egr some civics dont have one i guess, so thats that one, and for the high idle thing you have more air and gas going into your motor due to it being for a b18 all in all, you can reset your idle. for me it really wasnt any better, infact my car was faster with the pm6.
