Drilling Out Greddy Manifold to B-series?
Has anyone had any first hand dealings with drilling and porting out a Greddy SOHC manifold to fit on a B-series engine? I know it can be done but I don't want it to crack a month down the road or have lots of trouble with leaks through the gasket. I know HKS quit producing the T-25 flanged manifold so unless I can find one cheap this is my only option.
Thanks!
Thanks!
If you want the HKS manifold, call NOPI in Georgia. They have like 6 or 7 of them left.
As far as grinding and porting the manifold is concerned, it's a lot of material but it is very do-able. I ground out the D-series manifold from Apexi and I'm using it on a B18B. I don't have any exhuast leaks and I was able to completely port match the manifold. It took about 4hrs of grinding with a hand drill but it's possible.
