JR supercharger set ups? What kinda setup you guys have????
Hi, guys, I have a d16z6 supercharged right now with 5 psi. And Vortech fuel rail, ZEX plugs, magnecore wires, intake, header, exhaust Can anybody give me some more advice to what I should do? To produce more safe power? I am considering putting in injectors, fuel pump, built up my head with skunk 2 components. The things that I really need advice is on. Will MSD do any good? Can I put in a cam? Also will a chipped ecu be better? (Jackson racing recommends using stock ecu), Thanks alot guys!

9psi pulley
JR Map Mod
JR Water Inj.
DC Shortram Intake
DC 4-1 JDM Header (2.5" Collector)
3" Test Pipe
3" Thermal Catback
Cartech FMU
Walbro Fuel Pump
I think that's it!
I will be ordering the Hondata S200,Jumper Harness,RC 440cc Injectors this Friday
and will also be adding some nitrous (25 shot) for the track.
Anybody else?

Hey speedy, what kind of power are you making now? I am making 216.8 hp and 161.8 ft/tq with a LsVtec JRSC'd 99 Si (CRV pulley). Did you notice a difference with the bigger exhaust?
Yeah a good flowing exhaust helps to make good power with a supercharger just like it does turbo. Doing some minor work the the head can help along with bigger exhaust valves and some higher compression. Also doing whatever is necessary to run stock timing whether you have standalone or racing fuel. Another good one is the hondata intake gasket.
Speedy said it best.
Get the Hondata and you will be able to fully tune your setup to it's full potential safely.

I am going to make a trip to Cali soon to purchase the Hondata unit from Erik's racing. I hope you can help me tune my car! Thanks!

Don't know what kind of power I'm making at this moment but I will when the Hondata goes on at the begining of Feb.
I don't know if the bigger exhaust helped but it is very loud. Feels really strong though, and the noise doesn't bother me anymore.
CRVRX: Can you please post some pics of the intercooler setup on your car. Don't know if you have seen the other Water to Air intercooler setup on the red SI in Knoxville. I'm really good friends with Jon and the car runs very good.
Just interested in your setup and some pics if you can get them. Thanks

I don't have pics at this time, The intercooler element is inside the Manifold.
There is two spiral cores inside the manifold which water passes through, I will get pics soon.

As soon as I get my $ 8,000,000 digital camera figured out, It's take pics , But won't upload them.
Soon as I get them I will post them.

The only numbers I have are from the 8th (final) tuning pull, in less than an hour, so I'm sure things were pretty hot by then. This was also on a Mustang dyno known to be on the low end. I have some GSR cams and adj. gears on the way to finish the project and we'll be back on the dyno to set them up. When that's all done, I will take it to a local dynojet for some corrected, comparison numbers. I trust the tuner with the afr and timing numbers and believe there is a fair amount of power given up for a safe set up. Track numbers, (the ones that really matter), will have to wait until spring, but it feals like a mid to low 13 sec car on the butt-meter, and very smooth from idle all the way to the redline!

What were you Air Intake Temps?
172whp = 186 - 193whp
128wtq = 138 - 143wtq
on a dynometer

I was only expecting to get to 10psi with the stepper and LS crank pulleys, but ended up with a solid 11psi on the Defi gauge. I may go back to the stock crank pulley to get down to 10psi. I do not want to go on the bottle or water, just to cool things down. I'll get a better answer from the tuner on the intake temps and post again.
