CRX Si gearing...
the HF gears are alot longer than the SI, here are the specs:
SI
1st: 3.25
2nd: 1.894
3rd: 1.259
4th: 0.937
5th: 0.771
Final Drive: 4.25
HF
1st: 3.25

Thats about right for the si gearing according to this, as to if its all right for the engine to run that high? Its a 13 year old car and its still on the road, guess its okay with doing 4k at 80mph.

If it bothers you, you could put an HF 5th gear set into an Si trans and have the best of both worlds.

nah it doesn't bother me, I'm just not used to it, I am used to looking down and seeing 2500 rpm at 80mph, not 4000 lol. If that is the way its supposed to be, then fine.
While we're on that subject, are the gears from an 89 CRX Si a tiny bit longer than the gears in a 90 CRX Si? I used to have an 89 Si and now that I have a 90 si, i noticed at 70, the 89's rpms were a little lower, by about 300 rpm.... Maybe somethings innaccurate? I dunno...
