I might need to change the rear main seal on mine, which requires taking down the transmission. So I was thinking about just getting the flywheel lightened while I was in there. I was looking through some older topics and saw that the stock B16A flywheel is 18lbs, so I'm considering getting it taken down to about 12. I work in a transmission shop, so I could probably get it done VERY cheap. Anyone lightened thiers? Pros? Cons?
12-13lbs is very safe, just get it balanced while lightening it. it will defiantly improve the way the car feels and accelerates.
i have done it on few of my cars, check out the pics:

I'm probably going to lighten it to about 12.5 lbs. If I'm taking off from a light, am I going to have to rev it up higher to get going? I mean, once I do it, am I going to have to ride the clutch a little more?
