Default quick question about jacking car up

Is it safe to support the car by the front cross-member when you jack it up? Dont want to break anything.

if you jack it up on the front you do it under the tranny or under the metal piece thats right behind the bumper and not the xmember.

NOOOO!!!!!!!!! dont jack it up by the tranny. i dont know what hes smokin, but dont trust your trans mounts to hold up your car. there are 6 places the car can be safely jacked up by. the four factory jack points, then there is the tow hook under the rear center, little lump, and on the radiator support in the front center, at the front tow hook. NOT THE TRANNY.

I second that. One rip of the tranny/engine rubber mounts can cause a shift which will cause a slip on the jack and you'd be in big trouble.

werd, ninja. by the way, the front and rear center locations i said were ok arent oked by honda, but ive used them plenty of times with no trouble. but just remember to always use jackstands once you jack up the car if you are gonna get under it or take off a wheel/tire.
