Your question seems confusing after reading your post.

Anyways you can run a B16a with a P72 ECU, but it will run like ****.

The P72 VTEC kicks in at 4500rpm - way too low for the B16A.

Why can't he get a re-chipped P28 or the P30 ECU from a Del Sol VTEC or JDM second-gen B16A?

my computer has vtec kick in at 4400 rpm ..
so i don't see how 4500 is to low..
besides if youget a vtec controller they find the perfect point for vtec to kick which could be at or around a point that low....

my friends vafc is programed for 4300 rpms on a sohc 2.0l in a 93 accord...

Have you been on a dyno yet?

4500rpm is way too low for a B16A.

Sure you hear the VTEC at 4500rpm and you might *think* that it's pulling good, but in reality it isn't pulling for **** yet. Wait until like 6000rpm and then it will actually surge forward.

Most reprogrammers use 5200rpm for VTEC engagement for a reason.

This would include the following:

Spoon
Mugen
JUN
Kenji
HASport
Katman

...But what do I know? I mean I've only been doing this Honda **** since 1995.

my friends vafc is programed for 4300 rpms on a sohc 2.0l in a 93 accord...
...And he also has a dual butterfly intake manfold much like the Integra GS-R which has it's VTEC set at 4500 also.

Are you sure it's a 2.0L? Is it a JDM motor? USDM Accords didn't get a 2.0L VTEC motor. Hell 1993 Accords had a SOHC non-VTEC motor in them. Must be a swap?

Again there's a reason why the dual butterfly manifold motors have a low VTEC point while the B16A and Type R-type manifolds have ahigher VTEC point.

Also that Accord motor revs to what, 7200rpm max? Of course it needs a VTEC point that low or else it won't have much of a power band now will it?

well i have a friend that has a 94 civic with a jdm b16 motor.. i am getting a hondata for my prelude and i have to get a p72 ecu.. i want to test it out before sodering all that **** into it... will his civic run it ok?
not sure on what you're question is but if you're going to fine tune the OEM GSR P72 ECU / maps to fit the B16A or H22A then yes it will work fine.

4400rpm vtec in the GSR is low, maps are also not the greatest in the ECU for smaller displacement but it will run without a problem.
vtec this low is found in JDM road race ecus by JUN, J's and so on.
