hi, knife edging or lightening your crankshaft is widely considered to be one of the more extreme stepswhen modifying a prelude or any car in general, if you really want to loose some weight on your rotating mass i would suggest you go to a lightweight aluminum flywheel and/or an underdrive pulley like the one from unorthodox racing. BTW your english is very good there are many people in America that can't speak that well

Roger that..

If the motor is completely unmodified, you might want to start out with something less drastic.

Lightened Flywheel..something like that.

You do have very good english.

i have a knife-edged (lightened) and fully balanced crankshaft. it is not an advantage unless you have done many other things to the engine. mine is fully built, balanced and blueprinted bottom end, ported and polished head... the works. but to take apart your engine just to lighten thr crank would be more work than it is worth. you might as well buy a lightweight flywheel, unless you plan on taking your engine apart for other reasons. if you are taking it apart anyways, then, by all means, have it lightened

tchuss

BTW, your english is a hell of a lot better than my German

Thanks for the answers.
i want to optimate the head too. There is an small Tuner which will do this. My brother is working there. http://www.as-setups.de He will make the head.
I realy want a Turbocharger but in Germany we have a Institutien calles TUEV (TÜV). So in Germany there Tuning on Engine an Exhaust (all that will bring HP or makes the car louder) is nod allowed. But if nobody nows, noone cares. But if theres an accident the insurance will not pay an you get judged (in the worst caes)
So USA is the Paradise fpr German Hondadrivers. In Germany it is very hard to get Parts. Some import it privatly from the USA but some Shops do not ship to Germany or its very expensive. So i must tune what i have.

The cranksahft doesn't actually travel through oil...so lightening/knifeedgeing is really not needed. It's very extreme and honestly the crankshaft is the last thing you want to take too much weight off of

I think a lighterd Crankshaft will get the Engine faster to rpms. I have a Block in Store. Its a H22. The Rod bursts q 6000 rpm. The only Thing that is OK on that Block is the Crankshaft and the Flywheel.

I what to blow it with a Turbo. But kits are in Germany not available so I'm looking about every small thing on my own.
What Pistons should I buy? On my Husqvarna 610TE have a JE-Piston built ind. Are JE Pistons better or should i buy Arias-Pistons? Or should i look fpr Mahle Pistons?
What Rods are good? And whats abaout the Fuel an Ignition?

This Parts are In Germany not available (and not allowed ) so I must import them from the USA.

Sorry again for my bad english.

Aber Ihr könnt auch auf Deutsch mit mir reden *g*

To use aftermarket pistons in your H22 block, you'll need to have it sleeved.....I'd go with some JE pistons and crower or eagle rods......for fuel, you'll need a 255lph walbro pump, bigger injectors (something around 660-720cc), an aftermarket FPR, and some kind of standalone to control it (I like hondata and AEM).....ignition should be fine with some colder NGK plugs and an aftermarket coil, but you can also get an ignition control unit like an MSD 6A if you want

Hope that helps, I'd try to post in Deutsch aber Ich habe mein drei jahre auf Deutsch vergessen Did I say that right? lol

how fast do u wanna go?...you can achieve a good deal of speed with out even opening your motor up...u have the same JDM motor i have, put a header on it, it prob wouldnt be noticed, intake..my freind actually put his intake on, then wrapped the roiginaly hosiing around it, it was cut on the bottom, then only had the top half if the intake box, looked exactly stock yet had an aem underneath it, u could also add cam gears, which would be hidden, and a vafc, which u can hide in the car....these mods..will put u in the very low 14s...i ran 13.7 but with the header open, which obviously would be much to loud, also maybe a mugen exhaust, they look very close to stock and arent very loud...but good luck, its a little trickier when trying to get around weird limitations..peace

How fast? Good question, so fast I can go.
I'm very interessted in technics. So for me the only interresting thing is to build the engine und tune it on a Dyno. How much Power the engine must have....it doesn't matter. I want to drive normal but when i nedd power i want to have power.

I've herad that the h22 is not the best engine for a turbo. What Power can i expect without an blown up engine?

A majority of the parts you need you'll find on http://www.thegroupbuycenter.com and ebay.com. Also check the best-buys forum and the forced induction classifieds on here. Anything else you can't get, just shoot me an email.....
