CRV NEWS? any good bad thing to know about them?
My wife got an '02 about 7 or 8 months ago and she loves it. There have been no problems with it except for a couple of rattles. Other than that it's been a really good car.
The wife and I have had 3 CRVs, a 99, a 01, and recently an 02. All three have been outstanding vehicles with no problems whatsover...we have put about 100k mi on between the 3 of them without so much as a hiccup.
If you are looking at a used one, try and get a 99+ as they have 20 more hp, and are definitely quicker, although I would describe their power as merely "adequate."
The 2002 model, the redesigned one, is leagues ahead over the older models IMHO. It is much quieter, more refined, and has significantly more power. It also is a bit larger to boot. I highly recommend the 02+ if you can afford it, however the older models are still great, practical, and even fun to drive vehicles.

i have a 2000. i love my cr-v. i like it over the newer ones(cosmetic wise) cuz i dislike the HUGE OVERSIZED VOLVO WAGON STYLE brakelights. besides that. the newer one is bigger, roomier and just as nice if not better/faster. my 2000 cr-v treats me great. i smote the **** outta it. and when i say smote.. i mean smote. i drive it hard as hell on a everyday basis. i drive hard/fast. i take it past 100 quite often and its surprisingly ok. even at high speeds(maybe be scary at first, but u'll get used to it). the car is good priced, has a lot of leg/head room!!!! its like a civic, with an integra engine and with more room than an accord. the car has civic like interior, civic si liek seats. accord like map lights, and an integra like engine.. heheh best of all worlds baby!
I have a 97 that I've owned since new, last year with less than 50000 miles on it the transfer case went, over 800 bucks to get a new one installed, I was shocked to say the least, not sure what caused it.
The wife and I have a 98. 50 shot, AEM intake, LS plenum, neuspeed strutbrace, Weapon R coilovers... It's OK to drive... I'm used to something with some power. Overall, I would say it is a good automobile, with the exception of not much after market support.
