here is my friend`s crx drag car (he`s the guy helping me out with the swap)


and here`s a pic of his engine monster ls/vtec.. so far did 12.63 @ 108 mph running on alcohol... and it doestn`t have cams yet.. what do ya think?

is it just me or is that a the fuel cell in the engine bay!?
and i may sound stupid or asking this, but what is that hose coming out the front of the valve cover?

 

All you did was the swap and your run 12's......cant be what are your mods cuz i have a SOHC and i plan on going turbo with it........but if you did only the swap and a few mods and run 12's ill change my mond real quick about keeping the SOHC..........o0o0o0 sorry thats your friend that runs 12's opps

yeah that`s a fuel cell in the rex`s engine bay...
and the hose coming from the valve cover area is just for the gases (wastes).

 

it`s not just throw in and hit 12`s my friend..... it is a $6000 engine... all motor... all good stuff...

 

nice setup. can't wait to see your times.

 

I believe that hose should be leading to an oil catch can, considering the LS motor does not have a PCV system. Besides putting a breather filter on the stock Vtec head, some people tap another hole in the valve cover and have it lead off to a catch can so the motor can breathe better.
