Go with the Jim fab unit. I have one and it works great, well built and reasonably priced.

Jared, does that Jim fab unit eliminate wheel-hop? And on another note, how is the clearance. I'm running a B18A w/Hasport mounts, and the engine sits kind of low. I don't want to take out the bottom of engine crossing a railroad track or what not... Thanks again......

yes jimfab is kinda like a traction bar. But its not going to help raise your motor up any bit. Its mounts and sits just like stock

Does it give more header clearance? Like for a 4-1 on a gsr motor with the hasport billets? Thanks.

Technically they're all Not street legal, including the Z10 (read the fine print). Unless they state DOT approved, they're off road use only. And Bryant, the only reason I ask is cause if I bottom out, I usually bottom out on my stock cross-member and tow hooks. The Jim Fab unit looks kind of slim. I'm afraid of bottoming out on my oil pan. I wasn't really asking to see if it raises the engine any... But thanks anyway.

Oh I see. Its smaller then the stock one, So I dont think that its going to help you like the stock one would.

As for fitting headers. Yes, its smaller then stock so ther is no more need for cutting up the stock X-member to fit headers.

Does anybody have any pics of any of these 3 crossmembers on there car? I am wondering what one will be best for my CRX b16a turbo. I had to hack my factory crossmember and I want a new one that will work well and give me some more room.

Why are the jimfab units better? From what I can see the Z10's are higher engineered. Looks like higher quality fittings.

If your looking for a set of traction bars look to Midnight Performance in Sacramento, Ca. They make a set that bolts to their cross member made of Chomealoy tubing and bolts to your stock tow hook location. There is room for a JDM 4-1 header or any other one piece. The price is $350, its awesome and the crossmember is all TIG welded and looks nice too.

i know that these aftermarket crossmembers are great for eliminating wheel hop, but what affects do they have on handling?

i though i heard someone say that it made the front end to stiff.

on a side note, how much lighter than stock is the jimfab?

This jackass bent my stock crossmember, so I'll be ordering a JimFab this week.
