Default Comments on Exedy clutch

If you have this clutch, please list any comments you have about this part. My friend had this with his prelude and didnt like it at all. I am recieving a gsr mtor tha will be going my hatch in about a week. This is the last part i have to buy and since i am short on funds, this is what it comes down to. I found it on ebay for 159.00 for the kit. My only concern was that they saidit cold hold up to 300 hp??? Is this true? Basically what i am asking is will this do the job?

They are soft as stock and don't grab much better than an O.E ITR clutch when new.

Over rated "JDM" crap IMO.

I had an Exedy clutch and it did not hold on a 75 shot. Lasted only about 4 months and the springs popped right out. I am not a clutch tech but even my stock clutch held for about a year on the bottle.

if 300hp, go for the tri-puck one. They will hold, the organic (round) will be more comfortable but might not be able to handle 300hp.

Guys running with stock cars, I/H/E or cam setups, it's an awesome clutch and i love mine. Running nitrous or a turbo, dont bother. It's simply a better version of the OEM ITR one. JDM piece of crap, i think not. One of those rare things from japan that's dirt cheap.

Affordable, stiffer than an ITR clutch by "wee" amount. Mine has about 30K on it and it still grabs.

I got the kit on Ebay about 4 months ago. I haven't had any problems with it. I run it in a 97 Honda civic LX. Mostly Bolt on parts except the EX Tranny that replaced my origanal. Overall I was happy with the money and results.
