Default Mugen trailing arm bushings

Any of you guys have it on your car? I was just wondering if it's like the stock bushing where the rubber is actually molded to the shaft that bolts on to the car or is it more like the ES polyurethane bushings? If anyone has pics of it, please post it too. Thanks.

Mugen and Spoon both sell harder replacement bushings.

They do not sell inserts.

I hope this answers your question.

Anyone using these? I just installed my ES trailing arm bushings a few weeks ago. I read a story there that they will make the suspension bind :/ and that I should look into the mugen one. anyone..

you'll be fine as long as it was installed correctly. The Prothane rear trailing arm bushings are the best, IMO.

They will bind. The trailing arm was designed to move laterally with the suspension, and by using poly you remove this ability.

Unfortunately honda does not sell a replacement rubber bushing

Mugens bushings are solid and rubber. cheap then prothane as well. The thing that is bothering me is, the pin is moving inside my es bushing!. Its not attached like stock, prothane and mugen.

Yea .. I don't like this either and the PITA of the install. I am running the ES on my H3 car now. If they give me problems I will go with Mugen.

My stock units are fone for now.

When they show signs of wear they will be replaced. It will be OE replacements or the Mugen units.

Anyone have a better picture of the Mugen LTA bushings than this one?

http://www.kingmotorsports.com...3.jpg

What I would like to know is if the Mugen "Hard" rubber bushing is designed just like the ES one (solid with a floating center pin)?

If so, then who can answer this question?

We all know that Polyurethane bushings are not ideal in all locations, including this one, but.... if the Mugen bushing is solid, designed like the ES and made of "hard" rubber, how can it be much better than the ES?

What is the durometer of this "hard" rubber? And how is it that this "hard" rubber doesn't bind and Poly does?

I have the ES LTA bushings in my garage, but I'm still uncertain if I want to install them or not. The fact that poly can bind worries me. Also some people have commented on how the rear end of their cars felt unpredictable after the ES bushing install, while others have said the complete opposite.

I belive the mugen hard rubber is a melted pin to the rubber... Like stock and like the prothane. I am going to call Mike at IPS racing in a bit about this.

I can comment on the ES or Prothane ones, but the Mugen one is exactly like a stock bushing, just with harder rubber used. It looks like a safe bet on that alone.
