Just installed my Hondata flashed ECU on my 02 Si.....Read NOW EP owners!!
Um....BUY IT NOW!!!!!! I just threw my ecu back in my car,and went for a drive....WOW!!!!! The extra revs were REALLY needed with thius motor.3-4 upshift occurs at about 87-89 mph,and the car REALLY feels alive up top now too.It feels like a stretched,smooth powerband with a few extra ponies thrown in the mix....Im VERY happy,and will provide dynocharts ASAP.IMHO,ANYONE who can afford it should just get it..It WILL be a must have for these cars.It reminds me of my old b16 now,watching the tach go to 7800ish:'( Ill post more impressions shortly,i gotta DRIVE!!!!! Thanks to the crew at Hondata for a GREAT product that everyone will love!I know i love it so far,and look forward to many fun filled miles revving past that crappy 6800 STOCK redline
how much? how long does it take to get it back from hondata? and would you recomend this for a stock 02 si?
Are you sure the redline is 7800? I know that the increased redline on the hondata ecu flash for the base RSX is only 7300rpm.
limiter is at 7700,but the goofy stock tach reads 8K in first and second gears.....As far as turnaround,well,if you next day air them your ecu/key/immobilizer,im sure it would only take a few days at the MOST.Best bang for the $$$$ for the EP IMHO.A couple of my friends were AMAZED at how much harder it pulls up top,since the car had a SEVERE lack of topend in stock form.That stock ECU is a turd.Seriously people,yank those ECUs out and send em to Hondata,you WILL NOT regret it. sounds good how much was it and was your EP stock before you did this? if not then would this upgrade be recomended for a stock setup w/ CAI?
Yea do you know if there wil be a difference since I have intake, header, and exhaust? Also I was reading on the website that it might not improve the car with those mods, the dyno chart didn't look good.

What I am disappointed about is that they have published the 87 octane/stock ECU numbers against the 91 octane/Hondata numbers after everyone has published that just switching to 91 octane yields great results in a stock motor.

yo charged..how much did this set you back? b/c my ep3 is comming in june..and i was planing on getting AEM CAI, Skunk2 Exhaust w/ 2.25" piping...and if its not much i was wondering if it would help with that set up..

I was a lucky one that got selected for the testing. The flash is a night and day difference. This is the way the car should've came out of the factory!
