VSS...again i need moer help! whitch one?

Default VSS...again i need moer help! witch one?

ok... i have the plug that goes to the vss, but now i need the vss.
i have the stock dx tranny, with the d16z6 on it, and the p28 ecu!

1990 civic hatchback dx
1995 d16z6
stock tranny
1994 p28 ECU w/ 1994 motor harrness, in to car!
i still have no vss...and i nee to know witch car ineed a vss from so i can get it!

if you are using the stock gauge cluster, it wants the mechanical VSS from the stock tranny or from any 88-91 civic (and probably more).

OK, read carefully.
If you still have the ORIGINAL cluster in the car, you cannot use the electronic VSS.
You MUSt use the mechanical VSS that was originally in the car's transmission.
Once you put the mech. VSS and install the cable, VSS is hooked up and you do not need to do any wiring, regardless of what ECU you are using.

ok then why does my check light come on and throw the vss lite????
i thought that the P28 ecu needs to see speed?

it sees speed from the cluster. The cluster is what changed from mechanical to electric. Either way, the cluster sends the signal to the ecu. It's how it gets to the cluster from the VSS that you are having a problem with.
