Default Skunk2 camber kit and squeaking

Just a quick question, do the Skunk2 camber kit squeak?

I just got my h&r sport springs, koni yellows, and skunk2 camber kit in yesterday.

No rattling or squeaking. Today, i wake up to take it to the shop and it squeaks like crazy. Got it aligned, but it still squeaks.

The shop says its the control arms rubbing on the body.

Is anyone running the same setup having the same problems?

I have my yellows sitting on the lowest perch, will raising it help w/ the squeaking?

I ve had mine for about 2 weeks and they squeak like its cool. You could lube up the bushings I guess but Im sure that would only be a temporary fix. I hate the sound they make. When I see a dropped car that squeaks I cant help but think of cut springs.

are you sure it's not the control arms rubbing against the car?

Well this sucks. I just ordered my Skunk2 camber kit a few days ago and I definitely didn't ask for squeek on the side. Is this a known problem with this kit?

with the skunk2 camber kit you just need to take precautions. Buy a polyurethane front ball joint cover because the ones that come with the skunk2 rip easily. ALso just add more grease to the ball joint. With that I have no problems at all

It is NOT the Skunk2 arms that squeak. What squeaks is the rubber flexing. I am talking about the rubber in the 2 anchor bolts that connect to the arm. When you tighten the bolt and nut (14mm sizing) the metal binds. If you do not mount the arm in the same position you removed it, it will squeak.

Dont worry about it. It is just an inconvenience to hear....

Yea I think the last guy had it right. I think the squeek is coming from where the kit bolts up to the car. That squeeking kills me.

I am yet to find a fix...

ok, took my car back to my tuner. He just sprayed some penetrating grease (one that you can't get from the stores, I asked him where to get it) on the joints of the camber kit.

He said it's better the wd-40, so who know what it is. There wasn't a name brand on it so I have no idea what it was.

It stopped sqeaking now, so I'm happy.

well, i just installed mine today, and took it for a spin after the install, and I didn't have any problems with a squek or anything like that! It was an easy install, and skunk2 gets a big from me!!

its also recommended that you grind down the edges of the arm so they don't rub on your chasis!!

As stated above I finally pinpointed the squeak and it is the rubber part in the 2 anchor bolts that the noise is coming from. I dont see any evidence of rubbing on the chassis or anything else. But where can I get one of those polyurethane bushing covers?
