so.. um the winner only breaks even? anyway you could bump up the prize money a little bit? i mean its cool that you are having the event and all.. but this is clearly just a way to put money into your pocket.
and what is the gift certificate for? your shop?

doesn't surprise me with all the negative comments i've been hearing lately about curry's and their service. entrance fee is $50 and all you win is $50.

.....an email sent to me from curry's after i posted a comment to this thread......
50 bucks for 3 runs is good for someone who wants to know how much power they're making. that is not me. the only experience with your shop that i have had is when i was quoted $850 for a clutch install on my wrx.....labor only. i stand by the comments i previously made. sorry if you do not like how i feel. fortunately we still live in a free country, at least for the time being.
there'a alot of postive comments about currys too. we're supplying food, drinks, t-shirts, paying techs to come in on their day off. Trying to let you guys have some fun. 2-3 dyno runs to get h/p and torque readings is worth more than $50 alone. Plus we're giving $50 gift certificates. This is not a money making venue. That comment a little uncalled for, we have over 11,000 very satified customers. have you ever been to our shops and experienced our service first hand, I recommend you do, you'll then understand who we really are.
