How have you improved your gas milage? Please respond here --->
I would like to know on what some of you have done to improve your gas milage. I have an B16a with i/h/e, spoon ecu and lately I've been getting 250 on a full tank, sometimes as low as 225
. I just did an oil change (every 2000-2500 miles) and used an STP cleaner, but i did not notice and improvement.
I will be looking forward to change out the plugs, wires, cap and rotor. I currently have bosh platinum 4's, stock wires and I believe stock cap and rotor still (did the swap in june). But can someone please help me on the spark plugs and wires to get? I would like to get some NGK's but im not sure which ones to go with. I do a lot of rush hour traffic thru downtown L.A.
Thanks everyone.

Tough to answer without knowing anything about what you've done with your car.
Most maintenance items will affect mpg, some more quickly & severely than others. Air filter, spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, 02 sensor(s), valve adjustment, tire pressures . . . .
Actual modifications that will improve fuel mileage would be any improvement in exhaust flow, weight reduction, narrower/harder tires, more rotational inertia (wheels/tires/flywheel/brakes/etc.) if you're all highway, less if it's transient stop & go driving. A programmable ECU can be used to either help fuel mileage or hurt it. Higher octane fuel can either hurt or help your fuel mileage, it depends on the car & ECU. A synthetic or lighter weight motor & tranny oil can sometimes help marginally. Port-matching will help, more comprehensive headwork can sometimes help, but just as easily hurt.
